. . . to the wonderful world of Disney – MLHS-style
For Mountain Lake Homecoming 2015, alumni, students, staff – the community at large – are welcomed “home” to the Mountain Lake High School (MLHS) version of the wonderful world of Disney. The entire Homecoming Week will be celebrated under the theme of Disney Town.”
All of the special activities are coordinated and presented by the Mountain Lake Public High School Student Council. Faculty Co-Advisors are Kim Syverson and Jaime Banks.
The run-down of events is as follows:
Saturday, September 26
+ Homecoming Coronation, School Auditorium, 7 p.m. Admission is $3 or a Homecoming button. King candidates include Ian Glassic, Dylan Hanson, Ethan Karschnik and Ryan McCue. Queen candidates are Chanah Brandt, Carly Fast, Signey Stoesz and Carmen Syverson. Additional members of the royal family include Freshman attendants: Sierra Pankratz and Regan Syverson, Sophomore attendants: Jae Faber and Weston Osland and Junior attendants: Rebekah Klassen and Tommy Kraemer.
Sunday, September 27
+ Mountain Lake Public High School Student Council-sponsored 1- and 3-Mile Color Runs, High School, 4 p.m., $30 registration. d
+ Hot dog supper (menu of hot dog, chips, water and cookie for $5) following the runs.
Monday, September 28
+ Sleeping Beauty Costume Day (wear your pajamas).
+ Class Of The Year Activity (COTY): Disney Trivia
+ Junior High and Junior Varsity Football, versus Westbrook/Walnut Grove (at Westbrook), 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.
Tuesday, September 29
+ Little Mermaid Costume Day (appropriate beachwear).
+ Cross Country at St. James, 4;30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 30
+ Monsters U Costume Day (college apparel).
+ COTY: Hungry Hippo.
Thursday, October 1
+ Beauty & The Beast Costume Day (dress up – or dress down).
+ Junior High Volleyball, in Windom, 4:30 p.m. and C, Junior Varsity and Varsity Volleyball, Edgerton in Mountain Lake, begins at 5 p.m.
Friday, October 2
+ Wolverine Spirit Day.
+ COTY: “Glory Road” Chair Basketball.
+ Varsity Football, Cleveland in Mountain Lake at Munson Field, 7 p.m.
