It is Cottonwood County Fair time again, and the 2015 version of events will run from this Wednesday, August 19 through Saturday, August 22, at the fairgrounds in Windom, located at 7th Avenue and 14th Street.

The Cottonwood County Fair has been an annual tradition since 1883. It is a celebration that showcases all the county has to offer. There are plenty of things to do and see for young and old alike, such as children’s activities, entertainment, food and merchandise vendors, livestock and agriculture competitions, midway rides and much, much more.

The Cottonwood County Fair doesn’t officially begin until Wednesday, August 19, but the fair will get a jump-start, courtesy of 4-Hers from across the county. On Tuesday, 4-H general exhibit judging will be done throughout the morning and afternoon at the fair’s 4-H exhibit building. Clubs have each been given a time during which exhibits will be judged. Judging will take place in all general and non-livestock category areas.

Entries for Open Class exhibits (except for food and flowers) will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
