Sun shines on Santa’s visit

Santa’s stop Sunday in Butterfield included Fire Department Fundraiser Dinner, fire truck rides with Mr. Claus, Bingo, raffle drawings – treats for all

The sun shone on Santa’s Sunday visit to Butterfield today (Sunday, December 10).

Ol’ St. Nick’s stop was coordinated with the Butterfield Fire Department’s Fundraising Dinner of soup/chili/hot dogs, fire truck rides with Mr. Claus, chauffeured by Scott Linscheid, firefighter – followed by games of Bingo and a raffle drawing.

FOR A COUPLE of hours today (Sunday, September 10), Santa Claus was named an honorary member of the Butterfield Fire Department. The Man in Red promoted fire truck rides with him during his stop. Firefighter Scott Linscheid was at the wheel, with Santa riding shotgun.

TAKING ADVANTAGE OF the opportunity for a fire truck ride with Santa Claus – complete with sirens – were two-and-one-half-year-old Lane Evers, left, his one-year-old sister, Addilyn Evers, center – with mom, Naomi Evers, right, in tow.
