ACCORDING TO A Nixle Alert, the Windom Police Department has received multiple reports about counterfeit bills being used at area businesses. Fake bills turned into this agency so far have been $5 (with Abraham Lincoln on the front) and $20 (still with Andrew Jackson on the front) bills. Businesses have identified the bills as fake using special marking pens, but these bills also have several discrepancies including the following – + Texture and feel, quality of bill. + Smaller. + Color changes on edges, showing possible copying shadows.
