Wolverines drop home conference contest against MCC

MLA-C loses 8-4 to Rebels

 

The Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey (MLA-C) Wolverine Girls Softball squad lost their first conference game of the season in a home game today (Tuesday, May 2) to Murray County Central (MCC), 8 to 4. With the loss, MLA-C is 5-4 overall, 3-1 in the Red Rock

Molly Carnell pitched all seven innings, tallying 22 first-pitch strikes – as well as four strikeouts. On offense, Taylor Naas recorded a trio of Quality At Bats (QABs), and also walked twice. Jordan Boldt was walked once.

The Rebels scored six in the first inning, with the Wolverines unable to close the gap.

The team’s head coach is Brian Hopwood, with Shawn Naas as assistant coach.
