MLHS Class of 2016 recognized for achievement

One hundred percent of graduating seniors received diplomas

 

According to a graduation report just released by the Minnesota Department of Education, Mountain Lake Public High School (MLHS), was one of five area high schools with less than 50 students in their graduating classes to have a 100% graduation rate for the Class of 2016. The other four schools included Springfield Public High School, Saint Clair Public High School, Granada-Huntley-East Chain Public High School and Cleveland Public High School.

Butterfield-Odin Public High School, also in the less than 50 student category, had a graduation rate of 94.7%

The highest graduation rate in the area with a graduation class of over 50 students was Windom Area Public High School, who graduated all 58 students in the Class of 2016.

High school graduation rates in the state are continuing to trend upward, with the state recording its highest rate ever of just over 82% in 2016.
