Tigers on top 45-18; Zach Spinks earns 75th career win
THE WINDOM/MOUNTAIN Lake (W/ML) Cobra wrestlers had a 9-9 tie with the visiting Marshall, in a Thursday, January 19 meet at Windom, but then the Tigers took off, buoyed by a trio of forfeits, to claim a 45-18 win. The Tiger push also included a disqualification win at 160, as a controversial slam call came as Jesse Jepsen took down to the mat Marshall’s Jackson Hughes. For W/ML, Jabari Carlton at 195 pounds recorded the only pin on the night. Brett Willaby, at 106; Zach Spinks, at 126; Alex Borsgard at 132 and Yanick Tade, at 152, added wins by decision. The match victory by Spinks for his career 75th win. The Cobras wrestle next at the Pipestone Tri on Tuesday, January 24.
