MLA upsets USC in Section 2A pigtail match
The Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverine volleyball squad, under Head Coach Cheri Hanson, took their underdog status to Wells last night (Monday, October 24), and upended United South Central (USC) in five games in the Section 2A pigtail round match, winning 3-2. MLA was seeded 10th in South Section 2A, while USC was seeded 7th.
Game scores were 25-13, 19-25, 25-16, 16-25 and 15-10.
The Wolverines (6-16-3) will take on St. Clair (25-4), the South #2 seed, at St. Clair on Thursday, October 27, first serve at 7 p.m.
