Trio to display artworks in ‘The Artful Life’

Show featuring Cottonwood County’s Anita Skow, Mary Christenson, Marget Floyd opens Sunday

A trio of Cottonwood County artists, Anita Skow of Mountain Lake, and Mary Christenson and Marget Floyd, both of Windom, will be featuring a combined more than 30 works of art in a fall show at the Remick Gallery, located in the Cottonwood County Historical Society in Windom, running under the theme, “The Artful Life.” The gallery and museum are located at 812 4th Avenue, two blocks of Minnesota State Highway 60, on the corner of 8th Street and 4th Avenue. Each of the artists have had individual shows in the gallery.

The exhibit opening is this Sunday, September 18, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served. All three artists will be on hand to answer questions and share information about their various works. For those unable to attend Sunday’s exhibit opening, the show may be viewed during regular business hours – Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The display will run through Saturday, November 19, and is sponsored by the Robert & Helen Remick Endowment.

The artworks will feature the mediums of pastel, acrylic, oil, pen and ink and watercolor.
