14th annual Mountain Lake Area Chamber of Commerce golf outing next Wednesday
The Mountain Lake Area Chamber of Commerce will head out to the local links to host its 14th annual golf outing on Wednesday, August 17. The event will begin with a 10 a.m. (sharp!) tee-off at the Mountain Lake Golf Course. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The outing will feature teams of four, sponsored by local businesses, playing 18 holes, with best ball rules applying.
Team fees are $100 per team (including Mulligans and “Grenades”) for Chamber members and $115 per team for Non-Chamber members. Golf carts are not included. If a cart is needed, contact the golf club to reserve a vehicle. A noon meal is included for golf team members, or at a $6 cost for non-golfers.
A variety of door prizes will be given away.
Fun events will include –
+ Pre-Tournament Putting Contest at the Putting Green from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., $1 per put, 3 30″ puts to in 1/2 of the pot.
+ “Buy a Putt” – a 5′ string for $5.
+ Shoot a Hole-in-One on #4 to win a Troy-Built Snow Blower, sponsored by Midway Farm Equipment of Mountain Lake.
+ “Greenies” on Hole #4.
+ “Orange Ball” from start-to-finish. Each team will have one orange ball which will rotate each shot from player-to-player. If a team still has that ball at the end of 18 holes, that team is eligible to win a special prize.
