Downtown Mountain Lake was “positively glowing” today (Thursday, July 21) as the “Glow Crazy” theme paced Mountain Lake Crazy Day 2016.

That neon glow went above-and-beyond the luminescent dazzle of costumed business employers and employees. With a sauna-like heat index reaching 112° Fahrenheit, glistening sweat provided an extra layer of glowing radiance to all participants.

The fun, food and – (g)low, (g)low prices – kept their cool for customers, however.

Participating businesses in the Mountain Lake Area Chamber of Commerce-sponsored day included:

+ JSK Bridal

+ Maynard’s Food Center

+ Peterson Drug & Gifts

+ 10th Street Pickers

+ Mountain Lake Floral

+ The Good Samaritan Society-Mountain Lake

+ Country Pride True Value

+ Citizen Publishing

+ 10,000 Villages/Care & Share

+ Our Hometown Café

+ KDOM

+ United Prairie Bank

Special kids activities were:

+ Pipe Cleaner Painting.

+ Tug-Of-War.

+ Water Bucket Relay.
