Gas main line replacement underway in areas of Mountain Lake

Focus this time is on the west side of the city, section of 3rd Avenue

Gas main line replacement is now underway in areas of Mountain Lake. NLP crews from Lakeville, the contractor for Minnesota Energy Resources (MERC) is completing the project.

The focus of this visit by NLP to the city is on the west side of the city, as well as section of 3rd Avenue.

Current work is being done on 6th Avenue, from Golf Course Road to 10th Street. Additional lines will be laid from 6th Avenue south on both 7th Street and 8th Street down to 4th Avenue, as well as along a block-and-half section of 5th Avenue east of 8th Street and then down the alleyway between Bethel Mennonite Church and Parkwood Place.

A second project area will be along 1st Avenue from 9th Street to 10th Street, and down 10th Street from 1st Avenue to Mountain Lake Road.

The third and final area to see main replacement is on 3rd Avenue, from 12th Street to 15th Street.
