Accept resignation of elementary teacher, coach Matt Anderson
The decision was made at a special meeting of the Mountain Lake Public School (MLPS) School Board on Monday evening, April 25, following discussion, to post for a licensed full-time high school (grades 7-12) principal – with the option of an individual working towards licensure. The position will be advertised for three weeks.
Current Mountain Lake Public High School (MLHS) Principal Pamela Anderson has resigned that post at the end of this 2015-2016 school year, and will be returning in 2016-2017 to teach in the elementary.

Board members also approved the resignation of Matt Anderson as fourth-grade teacher and as co-cross country and assistant track-and-field coach.
MLPS Board Chair Doug Standerwick thanked Anderson for his years of dedicated service to the school district as an elementary teacher and as a coach. “He will be greatly missed, and I hope is is blessed in his future endeavors.”
In other business
+ Tabled under the next regular board meeting on Monday, May 16 the agenda item, discussion/action on PSEO (Post Secondary Enrollment Options). PSEO is an academic option open to high school junior and senior students in Minnesota that allows them to take courses at the college level.
+ Closed the meeting to discuss negotiation strategy with non-union employees. Not action was expected to be taken.
