Can Money Buy You Happiness?
Money is an object that everyone wants and needs, but there are limits to what you can buy for yourself, such as happiness.
Happiness is a feeling that you choose to have and want to have, but true happiness is not something that money can buy for you.
My thoughts are that no amount of money can ever buy eternal or everlasting happiness. Without my family, friends and loved ones, there would be zero happiness. Happiness is love and love is family. To summarize, happiness is key to life, so why not make family the highest priority because where would someone be without family?
I can see where people would have a different view and would argue about my opinions, because I understand that money is an important object and is a key to living.
“But, a wave of new research suggests that cash can indeed increase your pleasure – if you manage it the right way,” says Molly Triffin from Forbes.com.
Money makes the world go round, but have you ever thought of money as just being temporary? Just think, no amount of money someone has stays the same in dollar amount. There are always going to be something, such as bills, that need to be paid.
Money is just like wanting “things.”
Think of a time when you really wanted something for Christmas. Then, later on down the road, do you even remember what you got, or, if you did get something relatively important, like a cell phone or laptop – or do you remember the day, and how you felt when you received a gift? It is a precious moment that everyone shares together and will always remember. Now, isn’t that happiness?
Overall, money cannot buy happiness. Money is just a materialistic object that people can take too far. I understand that money is great to have, and can be a benefit, but family relationships are even better – and are eternal.
Therefore, in my view, money cannot buy happiness at any price.
