THE WINDOM/MOUNTAIN Lake (W/ML) Lake Cobra Varsity Wrestlers took their opening match against the home team for the Slayton Tri, Murray County Central/Fulda (MCC/F), 45-33, before being topped by the New Ulm Public Eagles, 45-30. In the match with MCC/F, W/ML jumped out to 21-0, and never looked back. For the win, Brett Willaby at 113 won by decision, while Yanick Tade, at 145; Jeff Wright at 160; Jacob Suess at 170 and Ethan Mutz at 195 all won by pins. In the loss to New Ulm, Brett Willaby (106), Zach Spinks (120), Evan Wiens (138) and Jesse Jepsen (152), all won by fall. The squad wrestled today (Saturday, December 12) at the Jackson County Central Tournament.
