2016 dates looked at for MLHS/community musical
It was announced on Wednesday, September 30, that the joint Mountain Lake Public High School (MLHS) and community musical, “State Fair,” to be performed on the Mountain Lake Public School auditorium stage in early November will not be performed this fall.
The final decision was made based on scheduling and time constraints for a presentation that includes a large cast contingent.
Curtain dates in 2016 are now being looked at – in the spring – or perhaps, the summer. Directing the production is Julie Brugman, with Andrea Brinkman the musical director.
The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical shares the exploits of the Frake family at the 1946 Iowa State Fair.
