B-OHS October band/choir showcase
The bands and choirs of Butterfield-Odin Public High School (B-OHS) presented their annual fall showcase on Thursday evening, October 22, in the school’s large gymnasium.
The Junior High and Senior High Bands, under the direction of Molly Fridstrom, Director of Bands, and the Junior High Choir, Grades 7-12 Mass Women’s Chorus and Senior High Choir, led by Director of Choirs Sarah Cartwright, took center stage in the event.

AUSTIN BOLTE, ON baritone. in the Junior High Band’s presentation of Robert W. Smith’s “Sound and the Fury.”
THE SECOND SONG the Junior High Band shared was “The Tempest,” also by Robert W. Smith. Hitting the high notes of the flute on that music is Susan Fast, front. Behind is saxophonist Mason Lenning.

“ESCAPING” ONTO THE risers in order to participate in the Junior High Choir’s number are, at back, Jordan “Chicken Man” Dougherty, left and Seth “Holstein” Pierson, right. The “farm animals” were running away from the clutches of the sly fox, connecting to the song being sung by the choir, “The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)” by Ylvis.
A MASS WOMEN’S CHORUS features the female voices in grades seven-through-12 on the selection, “Jar of Hearts.” Brianna Ringen, front left, accompanied the vocal music with her guitar.
