Lots of scoring by both teams; Madelia tallies more points
The Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverines Varsity Football, team coached by Tim Kirk, suffered their first loss of the season tonight (Friday, September 4), as they were outscored – in a game that featured plenty of scoring by each side – by the visiting Madelia Blackhawks, 46-34. This places the team’s season record at 2-1, with previous wins over Fulda and Nicollet.
Next gridiron match-up is next Friday, September 11, when the Wolverines travel to Hills to face Hills/Beaver Creek.
