Hold 12-hour run on Sunday at Lawcon Park, Mountain Lake Trail
The Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverines Cross Country runners participated in an “Early Bird” meet on Friday afternoon, August 28, at Fairmont.
In a different type of meet, runners from participating teams in each grade – from grade 12 down through grade seven – paced off against one another.
The team’s 12-hour run was Sunday, August 30, at Lawcon Park and the Mountain Lake Trail. In total, team members amassed 282 miles – the distance from Mountain Lake to Duluth.
The Wolverine Invitational will be this Wednesday, September 2, at the Mountain Lake Golf Course, the first race starting at 4 p.m. Schools attending will include the host Wolverines, Lake Crystal/Wellcome Memorial, Murray County Central, Martin County West, Southwest Christian of Edgerton, Adrian, Jackson County Central, Fairmont, Blue Earth Area, Windom and United South Central/Alden-Conger.
Co-coaches are Matt Anderson and Kyle Blomgren.
