Section affected is between Slayton and Fulda
A mill and overlay project on Highway #59 from Slayton to Fulda will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, August 17. Alternating lane closures will take place. Work will occur on the shoulders as well.
Traffic will be directed through the work zone by a pilot car and flaggers.
Motorists should anticipate delays. Those motorists choosing to utilize alternative routes should watch for posted weight restrictions.
The project is scheduled to be complete by Friday, September 25.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) asks motorists to slow down and pay attention while driving through work zones. Motorists who speed through a work zone or who disobey work zone flaggers’ traffic directions face a $300 fine.
