MLHS seniors to Soo Foo

Heed Horace Greeley’s advice to ‘Go West’ for class trip

The senior class at Mountain Lake Public High School (MLHS) heeded the advice of Horace Greeley,  editor of The New-York Tribune during the mid-1800s, to “Go West.”

Well, sort of.

The class actually went southwest – to South Dakota – to Soo Foo – or Sioux Falls to be exact.

The senior trip for the soon-to-be graduates was on Wednesday, May 6. While in Sioux Falls, the students visited the Washington Pavilion, where they toured the science museum and art gallery, saw a movie about tornadoes and watched a science presentation involving food.

Noon lunch was enjoyed at Leonardo’s, the restaurant in the Pavilion, followed by a little shopping at the Empire Mall.

Chaperones for the trip were the senior class advisors, were Brenda Feil, Shawn Naas, and Kim Syverson.

Below is a photo gallery of the trip. The photos are courtesy of Kim Syverson.
