Dads’ delicious donut day of distinction

Dads, grandads, mentors recognized for all they add to children’s lives

Before the start of the school day on Friday morning, February 13, dads, granddads, along with special male mentors, were recognized for all they add to the lives of Mountain Lake Public Elementary School students – especially the children closest to them – during a Donuts For Dads quality time in the school’s cafeteria.

The deserved donuts are served each year on the Friday closest to Valentine’s Day (unless February 14 actually falls on that Friday, then Donuts For Dads is celebrated that morning). Moms, grandmoms and special female mentors are also honored yearly with Muffins for Mom on the Friday before Mother’s Day.

Following are some moments from the morning captured by the camera.
