MLHS seniors job shadow possible career choices

Senior class members at Mountain Lake Public High School (MLHS) have been out in the “field” participating in the traditional “job shadow” days. On those days, the students follow along with the daily work of a professional in that particular field, discovering and learning about their interests and passions for possible career choices.

Job shadowing included careers in health sciences, veterinary science, law enforcement, ministry, cosmetology, welding, auto mechanics, manufacturing, accounting, drafting, etc.

This is part of the school’s English/communications curriculum composed by MLHS teachers Brenda Feil and Kim Syverson. In addition to spending the day in observation, the seniors are required to write a paper on the experience.

Below are two of this fall’s job shadow participants.
