B-OHS school year begins Tuesday; Thursday for elementary students

Will have school alert system, additional preschool days

A new school year for Butterfield-Odin Public School’s high school students will kick off on Tuesday, September 2; while those who are elementary-age will begin 2014-2015 on Thursday, September 4.  Tuesday, September 2 and Wednesday, September 3 will be used for Early Entrance Conference for elementary students.

The school will be starting a school alert system this fall. This system, which was purchased for use this year and future years, will let parents/guardians/families know of events, weather cancellations, late starts – and can even be used by staff to keep the students’ responsible adults aware of a student has a quiz or test, or is missing work.

Additionally, the grades for student in grades 4-12 will be available online by accessing the Parent Access button.

Additional preschool days for children three- and four-years-old have been added this year, as well as a new staff member. This year, all children who attend A. M. preschool will have access to breakfast.
