MLHS senior part of All-State Orchestra brass

Josh Fast performs on French horn in Orchestra Hall

Josh Fast, a member of the 2013-2014 All-State Orchestra, performed on Saturday, February 15 at the newly renovated Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis. The concert featured the three All-State groups (All-State Concert Band, All-State Symphonic Band and the All-State Orchestra) comprised of the best junior and senior musicians from around the state. The All-State Orchestra performed two movements of Gustav Holst's The Planets and Danzon No. 2  by Marquez under the direction of Mr. Gary Lewis, Director of Orchestras and Professor of Music in the College of Music at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Fast, a senior at Mountain Lake Public High School (MLHS), performs on the French horn with the Senior High Band and other instrumental groups, which are directed by Kurt Jahnke. His parents are Tom and Marilyn Fast of Bingham Lake.
