MLHS Senior High K-Bowl teams compete in circuit

Prep for early March Sub-Regional, Regional contests

IN SPITE OF the wild winter weather hampering area Senior High Knowledge Bowl Meets, the Mountain Lake Public High School (MLHS) teams made it to a trio of February contests. On Monday, February 24, Team #1 (Caleb Rempel, Hamlet Tanyavong, Daniel Harder and Julian Jung) finished first out of a 22-team field at Jackson County Central, while K-Bowl Team #2 (Christian Pfeiffer, Reece Englund, Sam Hirsch and Sam Xayanouram) finished seventh. On Monday, February 10, Team #1 was second out of a 41-team meet at Murray County Central and Team #2 was 11th. At their first meet of the month, a 29-team contest on Monday, February 3 at Windom Area, Team #1 finished in third, while Team #2 was 10th. Above, Team #1. Looking ahead, the regular season wraps up on Monday, March 3, with a competition at Springfield.The Sub-Regional will be held a Jackson on Friday, March 7, with the Regional at Marshall on Thursday, March 13.
