  • Discussion was held on a vacant seat on the school board following the resignation of Julie Peters. This matter will be reviewed by the school board at its regular meeting on Monday, January 27. Superintendent Bill Strom will research this matter and present to the board a menu of options schools use to fill vacant spots.
  • The meeting was closed to provide Kevin Walzak an opportunity to respond to the school board’s decision to non-renew him as a golf coach at the December board meeting. Following the closed meeting, the board continued in open session, reinstating Walzak as golf coach.
  • Board Chair Standerwick chose not to appoint a Negotiations Committee at the meeting, tabling the action until the January 27 meeting. As a result, negotiations are on hold until a committee is created.
