B-OPS Elementary, High School ‘Students of the Month’
Each month of the school year, Butterfield-Odin Public (B-OPS) salutes an Elementary “Student of the Month” and a High School “Student of the Month.”
Following are the students recognized during September and October:
BUTTERFIELD-ODIN PUBLIC School Elementary “Student of the Month” in September was David Perez. David is in kindergarten. His parents are Ancelmo and Elsa Perez Orozco. David has been a very hard worker this year. He is excited to come to school. David will keep working on something even when it gets hard. David enjoys Phy-Ed class. (Tiffany Sandbo photo)
THE B-OPS HIGH School September “Student of Month” was Vanessa Rodriquez. Vanessa is a freshman. Her parents are Marcos Rodriguez and Pueblo Hernandez. Vanessa is an outstanding student in English. She reads and discusses literature in a way that is beyond her years. She regularly goes above and beyond in her writing, etc. She shows enthusiasm and joy as she talks about what she reads. B-OPS ELEMENTARY “STUDENT of the Month” of October was Tyler Bolte, a sixth-grader. His parents are Shaun and Stacey Bolte. Tyler participates in class. He is a hard worker and volunteers help within the classroom. Tyler is interested in science experiments. Tyler enjoys reading. Tyler’s favorite subject in school is Math. (Tiffany Sandbo photo)
JUNIOR LUKAS PIERSON is the B-OPS High School October “Student of the Month.” His parents are Anders and Sheila Pierson. Lukas is an excellent English student. He reads avidly and excels in grammar. Lukas’s favorite class is Math. Lukas is a well-rounded student. He is in Band and is a FFA member. Lukas is in track and cross country and went to state this year in that sport. Lukas plans to attend college at either the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities or South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota, to study Animal Science. (Tiffany Sandbo photo)
