Band, Choir, Chapel Worship Team, Basura Beats, Vocalists share their music
Spring came to Mountain Lake Christian (MLC) on Friday, May 20. And, it came in the form of song.
Providing that song were the Band, Choir, Chapel Worship Team, Basura Beats and a variety of soloists.
The Band, featuring musicians in grades 7-12, presented the selections, “Hymn Triology,” “Songs of Scotland” and “Jazz Band Jubilee.
Choir members, vocalists in grades 7-12, shared the numbers “Ubi Caritas,” “Amazing Grace,” with Chloe Klassen soloist and “Seas of Crimson.” The Choir was accompanied on piano by Delores Flaming.
The Chapel Worship Team, composed of Aaron Petersen, Katelyn Fast, Melissa Lohrenz, Danica Dick, Zoey Smith and Chloe Klassen, presented “Worship Together.”
Soloists included Danica Dick on “Minuet De L’Arlesienne, No. 2 and “Ave Maria,” accompanied on piano by Cheryl Dick; Zoey Smith presenting “Calm as the Night,” accompanied on piano by Karin Stoesz; Levi Stoesz with “Two Spanish Dances,” accompanied by Karin Stoesz and Zoey Smith and Cheyanne Courts on “My Good Lords Done Been Here,” accompanied by Delores Flaming.
The Basura Beats closed out the program with “Talkin’ Trash.”
The school’s music director is Aaron Petersen.
